Lake Bastrop (located approximately 30 miles east of Austin, Texas) is nestled in a beautiful, forested area and offers quality bass fishing. Plenty of aquatic vegetation provides cover for a thriving bass population.
Average fish caught range from two to five pounds. According to current registered lake records, a ten pound bass has yet to be caught from this scenic lake, but I believe our chances are as good as anybody’s to surpass the elusive ten pound mark.
The LCRA has two well-developed and maintained facilities on this exceptional little power plant lake.
